ironcyborg Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Hi! I'd like to know what kind of model I owned... It's a second hand intrument, I still can't find anything exactly like this on the web. Its serial number is: 02510409; behind the neck there is a stamp showing it's a limited edition, too. So, if I'm right, it was made in 2000. Could you also tell me what's a good price for selling this axe? Thanks a lot!! Francesco Here's some pics of the instrument: Front: Back: Headstock: Body:
GKingN Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 It just looks like a Natural Burst SG Standard
Dynadude Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Your guitar was made at the Nashville Plant, TN, USA September 8th, 2000 Production Number: 109 According to a website that has a serial number dater bot. Like GkingN said, it looks like a Natural Burst Standard. Why are you selling it?
ironcyborg Posted December 3, 2008 Author Posted December 3, 2008 No I'm not selling it, I really like that instrument! But I recently got it by a trade-in with my old guitar... I'd like to know roughly how much does it worth in money just to know if I did a good exchange... I'm trying to find to what kind of limited edition it belongs to, the peculiarities of this model... Your opinion? Oh, and thanks a lot for your attention! :-D
ironcyborg Posted December 3, 2008 Author Posted December 3, 2008 Maybe this? http://www.everythingsg.com/discontinued_models.htm#standardlimited
slimjimdom Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I don't think it's limited. It looks like a USA standard production model in Natural Burst. Unless... that finish was limited in that year. Good price? $100.79usd + shipping. How would you like me to make payment? All kidding aside, maybe check out ebay and see what they are going for now. I'd say somewhere in the $900-1,000usd range with the original case and documentation. you may be able to get more with the recent price increases. Ebay is a good way to estimate market value.
GuitarJunkie Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 At the time, that color was a Limited Edition on the SG Standard. Eventually, it became a regular finish on that model.
