LarryUK
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmR3JptPuTM I know someone that has just bought one of these. So, I looked them up on YouTube. They seem to a great amp. Has anyone got one or tried one? I was thinking of changing my Hughes and Kettner and this seems to be the same setup but valve. Used, they go for under £500 so it seems ok. DiamondJig
Lots people love them on the Marshall forums. Beware the're are some problems with the power sections with them.
LarryUK
The only problem I could imagine is that the combo would overheat due to the tubes being below the boards.
davidl
I have had the 50 watt combo version for about a year or so and love it. I keep 4 presets that I've put together that makes it very convenient but dialing in in manual mode gets you where you want to be pretty quickly. Never had an issue with heat but generally don't have it powered up for more than a couple hours at a time. It was a good choice for me and a reasonable price. I think I paid $899 Canadian, plus taxes of course. Now thinking about getting something smaller in the 5 watt range that I can really crank. A friend has a Blackstar that he is selling and will let me test drive for a while. Dave
LarryUK
I've got a Blackstar HT5. It's great but it's just clean or dirty unless you use pedals. It's still loud for house use though.
