spayne99
I'm loving my Standard! But I think I want a pickguard for it. Gibson told me I'll have to get one custom made. Any of you Custom owners care to trace me an outline of their pickguard?
voxman59
I could. Maybe mail it to you?
spayne99
I could. Maybe mail it to you? Thanks Voxman, I may take you up on that. I emailed a pickguard retailer so we'll see what they say first. Can you tell me though... On your Custom is the entire pickguard elevated off the surface of the guitar, as it would be on an arch top? I was thinking about mounting a pickguard flat on the surface, like a Tele, but not sure that covering the f-hole is a good idea.

Yes it is elevated, Think that would be the way to go.. only two holes for drilling. Flat might interf with the sound from f- hole...

donnyz
The f-holes were a little sloppy but I found a way to remove the excess black paint that creeped on the top.
