Dealer ordering guidelines

I was told by a dealer (out of my state) that I can place an order for the DF, but he cannot 100% guarantee I will get one, as he said they must have several available for their local customers who may come into the store to purchase them. I wasn't given the number of DF's they were to receive. I was told what number I am on the list, which is #7. Is this true ? I did provide my credit card # and placed my order, but as you could imagine, it's very unfortunate that I may not receive one. O:)

Wondo, thank you sir. Might have to do that and quickly as I'm concerned with having to wait to find out and then coming up empty handed. We'll have to stay in touch and find out how each of us is doing with the new DF. I'm sure you and the other guys will find out sum great tips n tricks that u'll want to share. I'm especially interested in the studio application of the DF. Thanx again ! =D>

You won't be disappointed. You will have to pay for shipping, but Saul does a fantastic job of shipping overnight. All my guitars have arrived safely. He is wonderful to deal with and great prices.

 

Yes, we will all have to stay in touch. Unless Gibson starts offering really good support around this model, we are going to have to fend for ourselves. I only learned about this model here. 3 calls to customer support was a pure waste of time. I usually know more than they do and that is not to be egotistical, it is true. Customer support should know something about this model.

Maybe there are different classes of dealers. Some I exchanged emails with mentioned they are each getting 10. Anyways, not selling to overseas locations does not seem to be an issue. I ordered one from Fullers in Texas and they will ship to me in Japan. Funny enough the day after my order was placed Gibson website was updated to indicate dealers in Japan. I asked and found out that they too will have stock on the 15th so I could have ordered from them and received my DF on the 15th as opposed to waiting for shipment. Not much I can do to change now that the order is locked in.

 

Last comment... Gibson Japan told me the warranty is 1 years on all electronics etc and is only valid where the DF is sold. So all people like me buying from overseas beware!!!
