crazytrain513
I'm not fond of death metal and screamo (I can't stand it) but... Children of Bodom's lead guitarist and singer Alexi Laiho is, IMO, an amazing guitarist. For the rhythms he plays while "singing" and the blistering leads he performs, I can't help but think he's not as well known as he should be. He's a very melodic guitarist; it's not just a hurricane of notes with no direction like most metal of today's day and age. His tone isn't half-bad either. He lists his influences as Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Randy Rhoads, Poison, and Skid Row. What do ya think? Oh, and here's some YouTube goodness of him playing along with one of Children Of Bodom's tracks, free of the nasty screamo... just imagine singing on top of some of these fills though... Izzy
I am going to bust out my V and try THIS sitting possition. Always hated my V for its shape, but it sounds so good! You never know what people take away from a post and this is a perfect example of it. You posted about the guy's skills, I zeroed in on the posture and possition. High-five!!! dem00n
Never liked him, he never really shinned out of all the dozens of metal players with his style. Hes good but just another joe with a V to me.
