Les Paul Fanatic
Does anyone care to elaborate on strangleholding for me, is it like a style of playing, picking what? I'm slightly confused, and at the same time very interested in learning how to stranglehold, thanks to the great Ted Nugent.
RichCI
Based on my interpretation of the lyrics, I don't think ol' Ted is talking about playing guitar.

MikeRom
I never got the impression that Ted was singing about a guitar from those lyrics: GONNA CRUISE IS A ***** NOW BABY YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T DO ME 'ROUND IF YOUR HOUSE GETS IN MY WAY BABY YOU KNOW I'LL BURN IT DOWN YOU REMEMBER THE NIGHT THAT YOU LEFT ME YOU PUT ME IN MY PLACE GOT YOU IN A STRANGLEHOLD NOW BABY YOU BETTER CROSS YOUR WAY Seems to me he's pissed off about something. djroge1
I think a good many of Ted's songs make some sort of sexual reference... Ted is great in concert! I saw him in late 70's at Rockford Speedway (Illinois) for his Weekend Warrior tour - still have the concert shirt. Just an exciting and outstanding show - Nazareth and April Wine too. Awesome! djroge1
You haven't seen Ted since the late 70's?? Dang. He's even better now. Over the years I either didn't live near where he would be in concert or didn't have the $$ to go to a show. I did see him join Aerosmith on stage for a few songs. However, I used to live about 20 miles from him when I lived in Texas - He has a house just outside of Crawford, TX and I used to visit the music/hunting store he owns in Waco, TX

KSG_Standard
I saw him a few months ago here in Corpus Christi at the Concrete Street Amphitheater (smaller, open venue) he's still the man! It looked like he was playing ES135's or ES137's as they had florentine cut-aways instead of the rounded byrdland cut-away. Did Byrdlands come both ways?
