duluthdan
FB saw one of my songs (Dark Money) in the Acoustical Performances thread, and suggested I post here - so here is a different tune. Wrote it after seeing that movie a few years back called March of the Penguins, on the same day I had spoken to a women who was feeling very dissatisfied with her job. I played her this song. The next day, she quit. A few days later, her boss asked me about "the song". I played it for her. A week later she quit. 9 months later, I moved. As simple as it is, I have decided that this song is dangerous, so give a listen, but don't say I didn't warn you. Finally figured out that there is a mic level bar on the Zoom HDQ3, sound is better than in the past - and this new SJ really has a more substantial sound quality than my J45 TV - could be the mass of the wider neck, and all the nuances of the 1930s style bracing along with the simple fact that its simply a diferent guitar. I like it.
j45nick
Dan, It's a thought-provoking and subversive little song, sort of a modern Woody Guthrie tune. I like it, including the start-stop rhythm. And, of course, I love the SJ.

blindboygrunt
HA ! what a great little tune ... definate hints of john prine lyrics in there Dan ... you's get a lot of enjoyment out of louden wainwright albums i think. and that new guitar is just gorgeous .... you play so gentle too and its still boomin.... sounds like if you set it on the stand and stared at it it would make a noise ! flatbaroque
Dan, I agree with the others...a great quirky song...I'd throw it in with "Bears" by Lyle Lovett or "Dead Skunk" by Louden Wainwright.......and the guitar loves that light touch. If you build a song on the main thread...they will come!
