Hey everyone...now that the new year is approaching we'll be printing up hard copies of the new CD soon which is fully finished and mastered as we start playing out much more in the Boston area. Every song on there was written on a J45 and you can hear that guitar in nearly every song on the album. It's pay what you want for now and please feel free to download for free....If you do decide to donate anything it goes to a good cause. A friends daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor called DIPG and we are donating 100% of what we make for the next 12 months to the family. That's everything....not what we make after recouping recording costs...someone gives us $10 and $10 goes to the family.

Hey Moe,

just listening to your album now.... ****in excellent stuff man.

Very Americana..and very real.

I have realized there isn't much use in trying to do this kinda stuff unless your American.. if that doesn't sound obvious. Just alot of guys over here ( ireland/ england ) are tryin to do this kinda stuff..and they just don't have it.

Other members.. check the bandcamp link out..you can listen for free direct from there... this is very good music..and I think it deserves some play on the Gibson forum.... this it the real deal.

Hope you raise some bucks Moe......

( unfortunatley I'm broke .... )

All the best with it

BUMP

I am gonna keep bumping this thread till it gets more views..so there

Ha....thank you very much my man! Yes I am very proud of what came out and was lucky to work with a friend who happens to be one of the best Americana guitarists/Banjo/Mando players in the Northeast...Steve Mayone who is also a tremendous songwriter to boot.

I'm very thankful for the kind words and excited about sharing it

Yea, we suck.

When my computer "cools" enough to handle playing music, I'm gonna give it a listen. (My computer is having issues...barely handles the simplist of task before it crashes).

Thanks for the oppurtunity, and for the generorsity you have shown about the whole thing.

Had a couple of listens Moe, there are a couple of standout tracks for me, but all in all it's really great stuff. Thanks for posting it. Great project, really really good recordings and I would like to wish you the best of luck and loads of success with it.

So the electric setup used was as follows:

Guitars:

Fender Telecaster

Early 70's Strat

Reverend Flatroc

The amp was really what made the record....a 1960's Fender Princeton. Just an absolute GEM of a recording amp with the best Trem I've ever heard. Also a Klon Centaur pedal(real thing)

Also on there are a couple different Mando's, tenor banjo, Lap Steel(Killing Days) and Hammond through an actual Leslie.

Drums were just an old Tama kit or Ludwigs at times. Acoustics were J45 and a early 70's Yamaha which is awesome sounding.

Moe, you're a class act my friend. You already know how much I enjoy your music, but to give away your earnings for a year is an incredibly selfless act. [thumbup] [thumbup]

Edit: "and managed to generate two more threads". Thanks Del and BBG ! [thumbup] [thumbup]

Thanks Fred! Bottom line is I do this for fun at this point in my life.....3 kids kind of cancels out the touring opportunities! So...my feeling is that if we can use the limited money we make and give it back to hard working people in bad situations...that's pretty much what I think the music is about. Some grace for the ugly things....so some money for them too.
