Firebird 2010 string gauge

I just got my Firebird and I've never had a guitar with this short of a scale before. I've tuned it down a step and am getting a lot of buzz, especially from the 5th and 6th strings. I tried 12-54's which were too buzzy then 12-60's which worked but were very difficult to play. I normally play a musicman and when in standard use 10's-46 (with a 48 or 50 instead of the 46) and dropped I use 11-54's. So the question is, what is the best choice for dropping a 24.75" scale guitar down a step with the option for dropping the d down to a c as well.

I use 10-46 on all my Gibsons, even on drop tunings I've never had a buzz on any string.
