SouthpawKen
It is with sincere regrets to have to share this sad news. Guitarist Huw Lloyd Langton, who had played with Hawkwind passed away on December 6, 2012. He was 61 years young. Apparently he had been battling cancer for the past two years. He was one of my personal favorites. The 1980 album 'Levitation'by Hawkwind remains to this day my most favorite album ever recorded. And yes, he played Gibsons. Riffster
Wow, that's a shame. 61, so young. R.I.P. Hawkwind was such a cool band, not to mention that by kicking Lemmy out for "doing the wrong kind of drugs" gave birth to Motorhead.

manse
I saw Huw play many, many times. He had a lovely touch and a sound all of his own. Apart from the really solid lead guitar contributions to Hawkwind over the years, Huw wrote and sang some good stuff with Hawkwind... there are some great clips on Youtube of Huw singing and playing some 80' songs (like"Dragons and Fables" and "Moonglum") in concert on the Chronicles of the Black Sword tour.... RIP mate 5th Second of Forver Moonglum
