duluthdan
Quite a few weeks ago I was investigating having this image inlaid in Mother-of-Pearl on the headstock of my new custom shop SJ, but was swayed by expense, and common sense. Someone suggested pickguard art as a possible idea - so, needing a bunch of these for another endeavor, I ordered some die-cuts and slapped one on my experimental guitar - you know, the one that you use to learn things like replacing a nut, replacing a pickguard, how to fit new tuners, etc, you get the picture. Thought I might share. Pretty snazzy, huh?
EuroAussie
Is it specifically designed for the skiing season up there in Aspen Dan .. ?
duluthdan
Sort of. Its a long story 'bout how this design popped into my head, and became the motif for the passionate attitude "Smile Fierce". Goal is to have a pair of these in every rear-side window of cars full of skiiers. 30 years ago ... never mind, long story. Winter in Aspen is to ski, drink wine, watch girls and play music. Summer in Aspen is to think about skiing, drink wine, watch girls and play music. This guitar is my learning tool - nuts, saddles, set-ups, tuners, and its been useful. $99 bucks. When I got it the thing sounded like a piece of firewood with 6 strings on it. Now, after all the improvement work, it sounds like an old peach crate, with 6 strings on it. :)
E-minor7
Okay Duluth - remember the pictogram. It works and the guitar looks like a nice little campfire squire -
