t.a.f.k.a.i. Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 SG Elegant (Iguana Green/Quilt Top) CS 42986 MINT $ 2,650.00 1 SG Supreme (Fireburst) 00205537 MINT $ 1,400.00 when he describes as "mint" , he means as new as if never played ;)
t.a.f.k.a.i. Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 he said in an email , the green one is a re-issue . i'm waiting for clarification of what he means .
hbomb76 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 he said in an email ' date=' the green one is a re-issue .i'm waiting for clarification of what he means .[/quote'] Well, you can tell by the inlays and tuners it's got a Historic-series neck (I've seen a lot of those) versus the other model's split-diamond inlays and 24 frets. There are apparently a buttload of Historic/Custom-Shop one-off SG's out there (based on my eBay findings) in a myriad of finishes, from weird capped tops in wild colors to strange sparkles and bursts, to 2-pickup (normally would have THREE) Customs with chrome or nickel hardware...it's kinda' cool that there's a lot of unique instruments out there. Now if they'd just get some minor details right CONSISTENTLY. :) I don't care for flamey capped SG's myself, but for a fan of such styled guitars they're awesome, and definitely not the run-of-the-mill PRS or traditional LP reissue!
