flatbaroque
Thanks 57 Classic...if anyone can spot a classic it should be you! PM,I think you can thank your venerable wee mammy for your good taste in music. EA I can imagine Mrs EA does a bottler version of this....I learnt this ages ago...but I just checked and the lession is still online...google Fred Sokolow teaches Summertime....a couple of easy jazz chords in the mix...but all you guys could play it in a couple of hours tops. That would be a crowd pleaser..Mrs EA singing and you playing. Del is that photo your entry in the annual Charlie Manson look alike contest? If you don't win you should be a highly commended runner up!I think you need a brand new leopard skin pill box hat. BBG, thanks for taking the pish as always... My hat was actually a wide brim Akubra..an Australian cowboy hat....but it was too small for my fat head, would blow off in the slightest breeze...so I trimmed the brim to make it an indoor "is that man a musician?" hat. edit....sorry I just realised it was PM doing the Charlie Manson..haha
ParlourMan
edit....sorry I just realised it was PM doing the Charlie Manson..haha Well spotted, it was my best Charlie Manson eyes..... The old dear loves this song, she used to play in a jazzy setup in the 60's in London, even made some records but nothing big-time. I really ought to learn it for sentimental value.... Del Nilppeznaf
Which market? I'm looking for a new hat myself. Not exactly sure which particular one.. I visited Budapest maybe 8 years ago..and it was then known as one of the best flea markets in Europe I think it maybe the City Park Flea Market.. Sunday There is also a nifty hat shop up in the Old \Castle quater...or used to be ....in fact Hungary is swarming with hats.. don't you live there Mojo ? or there abouts
flatbaroque
Thanks Red, Mojo and Rod. Mojo you must have been perusing my back catalogue to see I purloined a riff or two from Cry me a river. And apparently the James Bond theme sampled from Gershwin not the other way round. Rod..I have the south in me...in fact in Sydney i'm about 10,000 miles further south than you! Just a few Melbourenites and penguins further. Please get me straight....truth or fiction....??. Nah, Rod. Theirs go the right way: it's ours up here that are reversed. (In fact, there's a whole discussion on this very topic in the wikipedia entry on the Coriolis effect. I'm not going to tell you what the answer is.)
