oceantracks
I'm wondering if I could put locking tuners and adapt this guitar to have a coil tap for single coil sounds? I realize there is now a new T series or whatever it's called, that has exactly this, but I can't figure out why my dealer quoted a lower price on it than the regular Traditional. He doesn't know, that's just his price on it. So even though it's got the features I like, I'm assuming there is a reason it is less...anyone know? Thanks Tom
nosbig
Both easy to do? Replace a tone pot with a push/pull or a push/push pot? I assume you have four wire pups?

Trads and classics are pretty much Standard level guitars yet are both cheaper than Standards, its just one of those things. Also you may find that there are really good deals out there at the moment due to the new 2013 lineup. There was just a worldwide Gibson sale. See if you can find a Trad Pro 1. These have push pull knobs and are now disscontinued

I wrote and asked Gibson if they would continue the Traditional Pro 60's neck guitars. They kindly and pretty quickly replied. Their answer was Traditional Pro would continue as Traditional Pro II, as Alpine White, Merlot and Vintage Sunburst colours. I think the 50's neck model has other colours like Pelham Blue as well. That's the Trad Pro II's. But to be honest, I really do not understand the Signature T thing.
Rabs
But to be honest, I really do not understand the Signature T thing. Haha, yeah.. Best not to try and work out why Gibson call their guitars the names they do.. Theres been some really weird ones over the years.. You could drive yourself crazy trying to work out all the differences between the models and names :) One of the weirdest was the 2010 Standard... Which had a Humbucker/P90 combo and Robot tech (nothing standard about that??). And I can only assume the "T" is just another type of traditional guitar really, adds to the Trad Pro 1&2, Trad Mahogony Satin and just the plain old Trad... Lol.. In the end I guess you just gotta find the guitar that plays good and sounds good.. who cares what its called Good luck and let us know which way you swing. We expect pictures :)
