Gruffchris
I've never played a J-35, but for me I think they are one of the most beautiful guitars. What happened to the T.V Bird, you ever get to play it?
flatbaroque
that really is something.you can look at some guitars and know they are going to sound good.that's one.
Motherofpearl
Chris the lady took off for Yuma for the winter before I could get to it. So if any of you live in Arizona I'd be more than happy to send her email to you but she will not ship. This j35 I'd great it's signed by Ren on the tag and underneath the top. This one is light as a feather and sounds great. Strings are original from last year so they are dead. Thick neck. Tone is quite a bit different than a j45 doesn't seem to have as much bass. Ill have a better description of tone once I play it a bit more. The top is yellow and real vtg looking with lots of silking.

JuanCarlosVejar
I'm asking because the 5 stars had a gap between the end of the neck and the rosette . mine doesn't have the gap : JC
Motherofpearl
Not sure Juan but I have all the certificates and I've checked the top underneath and RENs sig is there? Not sure what to say to that?

ParlourMan
Soundhole on yours appears to be in a different position, JC, look at the cut and line of the pickguard and contour of the body from both guitars pictured. Appears to be small differences in the designs, the guard line to contour certainly suggests so. I do like to see the rosette unbroken though, looks extremely nice. Congrats on the NGD, looks ace. Motherofpearl
Also what's the bracing on these? Anyone know?
duluthdan
PM had an interesting observation, so I thought I'd try and look at some comprisons - these J35s are MOP, JC flipped, and Tom's 1936. The angle of photo for each guitar is different, so I think that might account for an appearance that the soundhole/pickguard relation to the side of the guitar is different. JuanCarlosVejar
here is the CME one : on the gibson acoustic facebook they put a photo of the J 35 that was supposed to go to someone in the band Wilco : here's the guy from Wilco at CME : they are offering a an exclusive model to them JC
JuanCarlosVejar
that's the Ren Limited version . beautiful beautiful beautiful . out of all the gibson jumbos I think the J 35 is the most spectacular looking . JC

Dan , both Mop and Tom's guitars have the full rosette . mine dosn't if you look at the picture above the version that CME is offering is the same as mine but with a custom finish . also MOP's pickguard reaches out almost to the bridge ... tom's and mine don't . either way the three are beautiful thanks for the comparison JC
Motherofpearl
Thanks Juan and the rest. I notice my j45 is a lot more bass. Just curious what the difference is in bracing.
