flatbaroque
Just got a $100 Amazon voucher as a Xmas gift. I tried to buy a Yamaha Guitale...small Guitar/ Uke thing...looked like fun.But Amazon doesn't ship those kind of things to Oz I found out...just Books, CD's etc. Anyway I thought I might spend it on a couple of nice books maybe...not novels or biogs (just do kindle for those now) but music reference / or coffee table things. Thinking the Gibson Flat Top book... Any other ideas?
Lars68
If the voucher will be valid for a couple of more weeks, may I suggest this one: http://www.kalamazoogals.com/kalamazoo_gals_002.htm John , who has written the book, is a frequent poster here on the forum. ol fred
Think I'll wait a bit. If you bring a copy to Nicholson's both you and Lauren can sign it. And for barouque...make sure to get the accompanying CD. ! Thanks for the plug, Lars! Mojorule
John, what's the retail likely to be? (And in sterling if you have any inkling, please!)
jt
John, what's the retail likely to be? (And in sterling if you have any inkling, please!) I've worked hard to keep the cost down (softcover, etc). Still working on final price but it will be between $20 and $25, or £12.33 - £15.42. At that price, she should be able to afford the essential CD too. I know what I'm getting her. It's musical too, but a wee bit different.

To keep the book price down I think I'm going to have only black and white in print and put high-res color versions on the website with free access. That cuts the book price in half and lets anyone who wishes download the pics.

And it would be tempting to perform duets of Mull of Kintyre at New Year. But no. More along these lines. (Forgive the lamentable video, and especially its musical poverty, but it is worth it for the comedic value. Safe to say, I haven't found one in our local thrift store. This woman could be said to be a discovery in the bargain bin that is Youtube, however.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdkmsbfAz_Q

Mojo and his Highland Fling or Captain and The Squeal.....
