Congrats on the new guitar.....BUT can anyone tell me why those Rotomatics get such a bum rap??? I know they are heavy, but work great and need no maintenance!!! Some luthiers claim that the extra weight of the Rotomatics actually ADD to the tonal qualities of the guitar.....just wondering.....Oh yeah.....please add photos of your new guitar and sound clips if possible.....congrats!!!

thanks.I want to change them coz of the way they look,i grew up watching elvis movies on video like loving you, king creole etc.I just think tulips are natural on gibson guitars like butter on toast

It does seem to be the season for changing those tuners. I've been toying with the idea myself, but I've decided to make do, since I think the gold rotomatics might very well be adding to the tone and the balance of the guitar.

when I changed mine, I couldnt hear any difference

yes they will fit, but, your tuners have one screw and these have two.....you can put these on and just use one screw, or drill one hole and use both screws

how do i know if the bushes are screw in like the rotos?i remember once i bought some gibson tuners for a les paul and the push in bushes didnt fit

Glad to hear Santa came your way this year - you if any deserves that guitar.

Now you need to post a few pics - and some well sounding videos (I'm curious and serious).

Because they're big and ugly........

Bingo ... but I have to say the Imperials dont do it for me either. Call me a traditionalist but for the J-200 and Hummingbird its Tulips or its nothing for me.

disclaimer: this is just a personal opinion, nothing more or less...... but just to be clear, it has to be Tulips damn it ... !!! [mellow]

Rant over. Now, back to normal programming.

Good idea with the split motif - and of course the Tulips.

Hope the G and D roll free. Looks as if the single ring is close to the wood.

Can't wait to hear a performance -

they are fine ,not has close as they look..do some have longer shafts?
