daveinspain
Notice how the guitar case goes from a standard black custom case to a light brown R9 reissue case... What's up with this?
pippy
My guess, FWIW, is that he simply kept it in a different case for a period of time - perhaps to keep the original case in pristine condition? Whenever I put my guits in cases - and whenever I take them to play 'out' - I don't often put them in the cases they came with. In fact my R0 always goes into an older, knackered, non-Gibson-branded, case so as not to attract attention from the 'Great Unwashed of Croydon' of an evening... P. Strav
Look at the flame pattern. It is a just like a fingerprint. Hard to tell with the different lighting.
Riffster
The case thing is not uncommon Dave, there was an R9 for sale at MLP showing the same, except the guy said which case he was selling. Heck it may be the same guitar but then again maybe not. Those Lifton cases go for a lot of money nowadays, Gibson Historics enthusisasts pay like $300, so even if they sell one of their guitars they will keep that Lifton case for their next historic. daveinspain
Actaully I sent him a message and questioned him about it... He said he took photos in different cases for different looks. He also said the case that goes with the guitar in the vintage historic one...
