bonzoboy
There was a news story a few years ago that a former member of Iron Butterfly went missing and some months later his van was found at the bottom of a ravine with his remains inside,I can't remember exactly what member they said it was but I thought they said that it was Lee-obviously that wasn't accurate. Both he and lead guitarist Erik Brann played Mosrite guitars-Brann bought his from Danny Weis who he had replaced as guitarist and was only 17 when he played on the epic In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. God Bless you Lee Dorman-thanks for your huge contribution and influence on Heavy music.

Yes, it was the bass player in Lees absence in the 70's. rct
MrNylon
A sad time in my house today. I met Lee in 1970, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. RIP Lee, an old friend.
Cat_Man_Curtis
RIP: Lee Dorman - Iron Butterfly - Bassist These guys were my heroes back in the 60's... One story stated police found him in his car and that he was on his way to a Dr's appointment. Apparently he has had heart trouble for years. Sad day, but those days in the 60's are long long gone.
