Personally, I prefer Grovers! Both in looks, and compatibility. The bottom (and only)

screw on the Grover, matches the bottom screw hole, for the Kluson/or Kluson clone, stock

tuners. At least, on the Rotomatic versions. Not positive, about the locking version,

but it looks to be the same. The top hole, will be visable...but, a LOT of people did

that, in the old days, to their original '61's, and other's. So, no big deal...no one

(but you) will ever see it, anyway. And, with no extra drilling, you can always go back

to the original tuners, should you choose to do so, without any hassle, or "tell-tale"

holes, visable.

I have Trim Lok tuners on one of my SGs and they do fit the holes. You will need to drill a tiny hole for the locator pin, but if you plan on keeping the guitar this is a minor mod. For me, they are the best tuner I have used. Smooth operation and the fact that you don't have to wrap the sting makes them a must for my Bigsby equipped guitars.

I bend the heck out of the strings on my sg and I do not use locking tuners and they hold up very well. I do not have to retune often at all. I would not even bother I would only worry about that on a guitar with a factory trem system.

Thanks guys for your input. This will be my first SG and the first set of locking tuners that I'll buy. I have a heavy picking hand sometimes and I bend the strings all the time. I have a Telecaster and people in the forums say that the stock tuners are ok but that is false, if you bend often the thing goes out of tune like a crazy. So I'll buy locking tuners without adoubt, I want to try them, I think that I'll like them a lot and that I'll be using locking tuners for the rest of my life.

I need to add guys what do you think about the SG 2013 Std model? do you think is the best SG in the price range? its a safe SG decision?

Thanks for the information :)
