ChanMan
An unexpected surprise for me this year... A Washburn "The Minstrel" It's a walkabout mountain dulcimer. Great sound and easy to play! I also scored an Air Guitar... Cheesy, but funny. You break the laser beam to "strum" the guitar... More challenging to play than the Minstrel So... here's your chance... show off your new gear! Cougar
Well i bought this Traditional desert burst 2012 as present to myself... Wow, nice present! Being a keyboardist with some acoustic guitar familiarity, I researched Les Pauls for a month before I got my swing-era guitar-playing dad a Gibson LP Studio. He flipped, of course. But I couldn't just stop researching and looking at these guitars, and ended up getting myself an Epi Dot, cherry. I love this thing. Looks just like this one:
Twiz
I got a new Vintage 30 (on the right) for my 2X12 cab. I also got a $100 gift card for my favorite guitar shop. I'm probably going to put that towards a Telecaster Standard (either white or sunburst).

bonzoboy
I got a lot of music related stuff. The 2013 Vintage Guitar Price Guide,Hendrix on Hendrix,a 2013 Fender Custom Shop catalogue,A Beatle T-shirt,a glo-in-the-dark Hendrix T-shirt,A Vox Handwired Wah pedal,A Jet-Glo Rickenbacker 325,A Fiesta Red Fender Strat. BTW when anyone asked what I wanted for Christmas I told them that anything music related would do.One more thing-The Rick and the Srat are very accurate 1/5 models-some day the real Rick will be mine-I have 5 Strats so I can wait a while for a Fiesta Red one. Guest Farnsbarns
I'm awaiting all the components I need for a germanium ac128 based fuzz pedal build from my dad. I was late telling him what I wanted.

kaleb
Sons got me this. http://www.pickpunch.com/ I got that too! As well as a few packs of Regular Slinkys. I also ordered a Maxon OD-9 pedal but it won't be here for a few days. Still music-related, but outside of gear, I got three books: Peter Criss: Makeup To Breakup (great read so far!), the new edition of KISS & Tell (which, surprisingly, I haven't read before. I'm almost finished with it. Needless to say, Ace Frehley is a strange individual. Still love him, though!), and Eddie Trunk's Essential Hard Rock & Heavy Metal (awesome! Any book that has sections dedicated to UFO, Thin Lizzy, and Tesla is a great book. Ace also appears in more pics than expected: In the preface, the Skid Row section, the Pantera section, and the Rush section. Foreword by Rob Halford, and it's dedicated to Dio and Eric Carr. My only gripe is that Eddie chose some of the worst KISS photos for the KISS section. I wanna see em' in their prime, not in full Ringling Bros./vaudeville mode on the Dynasty tour). And some epic clothing! A Gibson Acoustic work shirt and a T-shirt that reads "Got Peart?"! I'm kinda disappointed that I didn't get the vinyl copy of AC/DC Let There Be Rock that I wanted, but that's okay. Overall, the most joy I had (except for the short burst I got outta the "Got Peart?" tee...) was when my dogs got their stocking stuffer.

I was late telling him what I wanted. Very cool! Does your dad make pedals? I take it he's making a Fuzz Face? I've made a Fuzz Face with AC128s before and it was pretty sweet. The one I just made is way better though. Lemme know if you need any parts or anything. I have some nice old Sprague caps that sound great in a Fuzz Face
tptfps68
I bought this for myself about a week ago. Sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. I forgot how a Gibson feels!
Blueblooded
Nice stuff guys... sadly, I didn't find any gear under the tree for me this year. Instead, I decided it was time for my wife to get something nice so splurged on a really nice Husquvarna Sewing Machine for her. I'm blessed with some great guitars and an even greater woman, so had to refrain from treating myself (for now, anyway :) ).

I just asked him for the components because I couldn't think of anything else.
