ChanMan Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 That is a seriously beautiful banjo sir! You can always send it to me for validation.... I'm in Tennessee!
Bender 4 Life Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 what a beautiful banjo!! i'm w/ the ChanMan on this one, take a little time and plink around on it, you may just fall in love with it. or, if not, my shipping address is: B4L care of..... even in Alabama, Banjo pickers are becoming a rareity.
daveinspain Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 I will keep it. I will learn how to play it... It was so unexpected when I got it I didn't know what to think but now I love it... Been tinkering with it already....
badbluesplayer Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Alright Dave!! Just wait till you can say you play the banjo. Nice one, too. When you come to Tennessee and you go through the checkpoint (where they make sure you can play a stringed instrument before they let you in) you can just have the case on the back seat and they'll let you right through.
milod Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Dave... I think if you're mostly a "guitarist," even a bit of tinkering with the banjo has also the advantage of shifting how your brain works with guitar technique. Ditto mandolin or whatever one might mess with that has frets. And to me, anything that shifts the head to see a wider set of ideas on pickin' is good. Merry, Merry Christmas! m
