Tomodaichi
Hi to all, i came here to ask some help from your expert eyes. i did my best research but still i can't identify if this is fake or not. I'm buying this guitar tomorrow and i want to be sure first if its fake or not, i can't check it myself cause the shop location is miles away. so i'm buying it via shipping. btw the guitar is made in china. ( he said that all of his guitars came from authorized china dealer )and as you can see on the guitar number, the guitar is made in qingdao I WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL IF YOU CAN HELP ME OR JUST POST SOME OPINIONS! http://www.facebook....67550413&type=3 So i was surfing over the internet and compared this guitar to other guitar ( same model ofcourse ) Here are my comparisons: - what i saw is that the cover at the back of the body is different from the picture on other guitars. http://img802.images.../2458/asd2u.jpg - and the angle of knobs to the first bolt of pickguard is kinda a bit different. http://img163.images...2938/asdwnz.jpg above all, i didn't find any differences. please help me to know if its fake or not. btoth76
Hello and welcome to the Forums! Your links do not work. Post the pictures using a Photobucket account. Copy the IMG code to Your post. That's probably the most convenient way to do it. Also, rather post this question in the Epiphone section, You'll likely get more quicker replies. :) Cheers... Valeriy
Tomodaichi, I think, the said mistrusts about the pics can be reasonable. The main danger of Chinese guitars is that they can be made of not wood, but of the pressed cardboard etc. Though it is possible to make a good sound in such guitars. But people when they find that their guitars are not made of wood are usually very upset. To check the shop try to warn that if the guitar is not made of wood, you will return it with money back and also look at reaction, but yet do not rush to buy until you know for sure. RaysEpiphone
Solid (real) wood will last a lot longer and will "mellow" (sound wise) with use.
