flyingarmadillo
I've got a 2004 50th Anniversary American Deluxe: It's my number one, a lot heavier than my SG but it just works right for me. And I'm not quite sure if it counts for this survey but I've got one of these too: Strat XII - don't have a Gibson 12 to compare to, but for playability it's way better than my Ric. Kaiser Bill
I have two Strats...a '59 and a 2000 MIM. They both have their place in my arsenal. Both are decent for country, rock or blues.

bluesguitar65
I have a custom made American Design Strat: Very Nice Tman [thumbup] did it cost as much as a CS model or more? What specs does your have that a production model does not have already? I've thought of having one built for me, set in neck, mahogony body and neck with a flame maple top, neck and middle single coil pickups and a P90 bridge pickup, It would also be a hard tail with through the body stringing and a rosewood wood fingerboard with stainless steel Dunlop 6105 type frets. swampash
I have a 1998 Classic Series 50s Strat. It has been gutted significantly. It has D Allen Austin Blues pickups in the neck and middle position and a Seymour Duncan Little 59 in the bridge. A Wilkinson bridge and trem unit. Volume pot upgraded to 500k and tone pots changed to CTS 250k pots. Pickup switch and input jack upgraded.
Valeriy
I've always been happy with my Les Paul guitars. And I bought this Strat for my guitar experiments. I've already shown here its new sound. I could not at once get a good sound since it cost $ 130 <_< . I remember I was choosing probably about an hour in the shop because necks of many such cheap guitars were so-so, crooked etc. And the manager of the shop was very happy (together with me :) ) when I finally chose and bought among this junk. And after a while it became a new model :) , I erased the old name of the guitar (Phil Pro,South Korea), but new still didn't think up <_< . stein
Last year I bought a '62 'Classic' in Lake Placid Blue. It feels, absolutely, 100% identical to the "real one". P-ups could do with a bit of thought. It sounds more like the original '59 Fiesta Red/Maple neck I had for a short while.... I preferred the '64 p-ups. P. What were the differences in the pups between the '64 and the '59? What's the Classic got in it? Do you know?

Shamus
Greetings I have an American Deluxe strat. It is a great guitar. I really apreciated the fullnes and the warmth of my Gibsons after playing the Strat. The power of the Gibsons are amazing. The Strat has it's place. The are some songs that just sound great with a Strat and it is an very versitle guitar. In this post there are some great looking strats. I saw a great looking Knopfler Start that looks awesome.I would not mind owning one of those. Ryan H
Geez - Nothin's easy. Somebody minused you for putting up a pic of the guitar. Because Apparently HSS is okay, but when you go HH on a Strat and put a superior vibrato system in, it's blasphemy. Screw the haters, it's a great sounding and playing guitar. Oh, and I haven't had to tune it Once since I got it almost 4 weeks ago now. -Ryan

The final price with shipping came in at just under $1900. For the most part it's an American Deluxe Strat. I got to pick the body and the neck. I added the N/3 noiseless pickups and the Fender Deluxe locking tuners. It also has the deluxe electronics kit with the S1 switch in the volume knob.
