sabathiel
Does anyone know if the Gibson acoustic Songwriter series come in solid Rosewood back and sides? I know they come in solid spruce top but I have been looking around and cannot find any of the Songwriter series being described as solid Indian Rosewood back and sides. Or maybe they don't need to say solid back and sides and people just assume they are all solid body guitars. Sometimes I come across Gibson acoustics specifically stating solid Maple back and sides etc and sometimes they specifically state laminated Mahogany back and sides etc. But what does it mean if they just say Indian Rosewood back and sides? Does that mean that is not solid and laminated only? Does anyone know the answers to these questions? Thank you.

I don't know the answer to your specific question but my understanding is that if it is solid, they will say the word solid in the description. Otherwise, it's laminate. I bet somebody can tell you for sure about this model.

I think the only exception would be the top for the John Lennon 160 E that historically had a laminated top.
