This time I had the MiC 7 inches or so away from the soundhole, perhaps a little closer to the fretboard. Two tracks - guitar and vocals, and a second track for the snaps. What do you think? Any constructive criticism at this point would just be splitting hairs. Although I would not feel inspired to do a song such as this on a sunny day like today,... soon comes the winter night. I think the folks just prefer to see the full monty of video rather than just audio. And fair enough, I just did mine rough n ready and its much quicker with soundcloud rather than going the youtube way which takes longer. I am cool with whatever the rules are; I only post this stuff as a way to test the waters and get feedback so I don't look like a dope locally in public. It's kind of like "training wheels" for me. Thanks BBG - Love your videos. I am on the fence for doing youtubes, because I am not 24 years old anymore. I am 46 and some days I feel 20 and some days I feel 80. I really like seeing performances by GAF regulars in this section of the forum, as I am more likely to view/listen to them. It's a little more personal having a performance from a guy/girl that you've just been chatting with about their guitars. Maybe the answer is to post it in ther performances section, but drop a note in here that you;ve posted a new performance. So far, I think the balance here has worked out just fine. Thanks for all the comments guys. They are all helpful. I harbor no ill will towards anyone, of course, including 62burst's, whose commentary was positive as well. I like this forum a lot, and I love listening to everyone's music, and learning about instruments. If the mods want me to post in the performance section, I am happy to do so, or here with restraint. It's all good. I feel I am visiting in someone else's living room, and am more than happy to respect the rules and wishes of those living here. When I post something I made, it's not so much to say "hey look at me and what I made - I am proud of it" - it's more to sound you guys out because I respect you. Still baffled by digital recording, DAWs, Garage Band, Cubase, Protools, loops etc - super impressed with folks that can figure this out, and create multi-tracks, harmonies, and tempo.
