badbluesplayer
Rabs started a thread with photos of LP electronics so I figured I'd get people to show off their electronics in their various guitars. Here's my ES-339: Old electronics - New Electronics - Going Back In - Strat: 2012 LP Std: Martin 000-28. There's not much to show.

daveinspain
So whats the advantage over the lining? Acts as a shielding to eliminate unwanted ground and transient noise...

slavestate
A few months back I switched out the stock wiring harness in my 2011 SG Standard for a bit of an upgrade. I don't think I could be any happier with this guitar. Isn't that ground exceptionally placed? :)

That's the ticket to get that brassy/glassy tone on the neck!!
slavestate
The values are .022 uf on the brige and .015 uf on the neck. I have been extremely happy with the upgrade. Great photos everyone! That's the ticket to get that brassy/glassy tone on the neck!! Shhhhhh....
Valeriy
My Johnny Guitar is a good guitar (Japan), it in fact is a copy of Gibson LP. Though I got used to play with active electronics. I have not finished with this guitar with the active that is in this pics, really only a half of this active circuit is in use, other part was as an experiment. But to understand it it is necessary to taste playing and listen. Here is a small fragment of this guitar in the active, playing by means of my fingers, Anyone’s Daughter ( :) from Deep Purple): http://soundcloud.com/valeriy-2/anyonesdoughter

Valeriy
The guitar was not designed for the active electronics and battery, free space was limited. And I did not want to make additional cutting out in the body of the guitar because its sound is good without this active. Therefore it was necessary to fit everything neatly without damaging the body. Also it was the experiment about a new sound. And it seems all well, i.e. the old sound remained and the new was added Also, guys, this is a great thing to not disturb others when it is necessary to play guitar and to record by home computer at any time. Simple chain: guitar with the active, next, preamp and next directly into the computer and there is no need to too loud amplifier cabinet with mic.
