For a signature?

I wouldn't pay such an outrageous extra upcharge for a signed guitar unless it was one owned by someone truly iconic and dead. To charge this kind of money for a living star's signature is nuts, but what's even more nuts is that they'll sell each and every one of them.

On the Gibson site. It shows Joe with the original. With no pup covers on. So, it's not a 'recreation'. It's similar.

In all fairness Joe Perry has used it both with and without covers.

In 'The Beauty of the 'Burst' (when the guitar was in it's period of Slash ownership) it is shown with covers in the main body of the book but without covers in the photo of JP with the guitar.

In which case Gibson would have to make pretty sure that the 'Icon' being honoured signs the guitars beforehand...

Just sayin'....
