I did. First answer was the Nashville serial # was a mistake. He said he wanted gibson to make this guitar for him with those specs exactly. And it took lots of grief on his part to ge gibson to make him this custom guitar. I asked if it will come with that case or the gibson one it was shipped in ( obviously not a gibby case). Here is the exact words to my response ......Hi, I had my friend post this for me so the Nashville thing was a mistake. I know what you are looking at and to answer your question, I had this guitar built to MY specs. NOT production specs. I went through alot of grief having this made from Gibson that way but its how I wanted it made. Hope this answers your questions, Thanks for looking!

Let's see what he responds with when I basically tell him he's selling a fake gibson lol.

Is that neck like a charvel? The 2 piece kinda seperate headstock thing? Wow gibson really made this a one of a kind, no?

These are made with scarf joint

Gibson is made in 1 piece with 2 extra parts glued onto each side of the headstock (see factory video)

Gibson USA making a one off? REALY! :^o

From what I can gather the only "Customising" is the change of 1 pickup and fitting Deluxe Tuners (Easy to swap out as I found with my V)

But this line is comical

"Could use setup and electronic work. Only signs of visual wear is residue from the Gibson sticker on the back of the control panel. Purchased factory direct from Gibson in Memphis"

Here in Britain, Eastern European and Chinese fakes BETTER than this one are all over the place and they're even sold as "fake" for up to £500 ($800) by people who have imported them for as little as £200 ($350)

I got my Custom Classic from zzounds and I buy strat parts from the stratoshere on ebay.

I also have many parts dealers I have bought from for years there too.

There are many dealers on ebay like the music zoo, and Guitar Centers used section is great.

Yes I can tell a real Gibson on there but unless its new I dont want to mail order it.

I like to play my used stuff first unless its shipping from a dealer like Guitar Center or Music Go Round.

They will allow a return.

I dont know how you guys always find the fakes I have never ran accross one.

The top looks like it's "printed" as well because it looks two dimentional and you can see a straight grain underneath the figuring...

That's why I only buy Les Pauls with a "transparent" finish, so you can see any dodgy bits.

Imagine if this was real and the guy genuinely ordered it like this lol. He didn't buy it and trying to sell it... He says he ordered it specifically with these specs. "Make it look Chinese, Gibson". That was his specifics lol. Do I dare say this could be a new model by gibson- the counterfeit les paul. Special order only hahaha. Gibson would prolly charge 3 grand for it ;)

It's a Chinese fake. Seen hundreds just like it.

saw an article where a crate of over 50 fakes were seized @ Chi-towns O'Hare airport just a cpl. weeks ago....

U.S. Customs actually inspects an estimated 2% of cargo entering the country at major shipping ports....imagine how many fakes come in every week now... [scared]

...I'm not as trained as most folks as spotting a fake Les Paul but, I would have definitely passed on that one.

Good luck in your hunt.

And if you have any doubts then please run them past us here before you buy!
