Epiphone Buzzing?

Hey I just recently purchased an Epiphone Black Beauty 3 about 3 days ago. I absolutely love it, but today I went to plug it in and an abnormal buzzing started coming from my amplifier (Line 6 Spider 3). At first it was quite loud so I tried my old Ibanez on the same amp, and the only buzzing I heard was very faint and only while I was playing something (it seemed normal really). I tried playing the Epiphone on my old Fender 15w PoS amp and the same thing happened. I finally went back to the Line 6 once more and the buzzing seemed a bit more faint but it is still quite noticeable. It's most (almost only) apparent on the rhythm and treble settings. I was wondering if this is something common or if anyone knows how to fix or deal with the problem other than having to try messing with warranty stuff. I hope it's nothing serious because I love this guitar =P~. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Tim, you are becoming a real snob, man... let them kids be... I'm sure most of them join so they can post threads asking for pics of your guitars (and junkies' guitars too of course) and learn something from AXE.

No the buzzing does not stop when I touch the strings, it will get louder with more volume, and is still noticeable while playing... I did post on the other forums by the way (didn't know there was one) but I'm just trying both to get as much feedback as I can. Thank you very much for your responses.

Does it happen with high gain only or when playing clean too?

Did you dropp the guitar or something? Maybe one of the contacts got loose. Its the only thing I can think about at the moment. Maybe the wire that makes contact with the bridge got lose.

Your best bet is to take her to the store you bought her from and have them take a look at her. If they ask you if you did something just say no.

Sounds like outside interferences, Blumoon had a similar problem with his "Gibson"

Try the guitar in a different room or different outlet with no other electronics on in the circuit.

If that doesn't work.

Buy a Fender. Gibsons are over rated, especially Les Pauls...

Or he could buy one of those strat-jaguar-jagstang knockoffs gibson makes O:)

Yeah it happens on any setting no matter what gain. Support told me to get a warranty evaluation or something from a local repair shop so I guess I'm gonna do that.

definately sounds like a grounding problem (some wires not attached correctly) just take it to the shop were you got it and they will most likely fix it for you. i would recomend not returning it for another like it because it seems you really like this one and even if you got the same type of guitar every guitar feels a bit different. if you didnt get it from a store just try to find a local luthier and it would probably be a pretty cheap fix.

by the way welcome to the forum, i am also an epiphone player using the gibson forum. i have a epiphone les paul custom plus. i want a three pickup custom like yours next next, although mine will hopefully be a gibson. its going to take me a loooonnngg time to save up for it though.

Thunder...there was no snobbery in my comment. It was the guy's first post and it was an Epi question.

I figured the link from epiphone.com brought him here; so, I thought I'd direct him to the right place.

Plus...seeing as how he just bought the guitar, I'm sure he'll have a whole bunch of questions to ask.

That was actually pretty nice of me, if you think about it. I deserve a pat on the back, damn it!

Mine was outside interference. Turned out to be a couple of some high-tech heater fans that had thermal resistors installed in them. It created a significant buzz/hum.

Does the hum/buzz stop when you touch the strings or any piece of metal on the guitar? Have you tried playing the amp in a different room?

I was actually kidding man... I think by now you would notice when I'm being a **** on intent. Sorry if my comment upset you...

Ok, you asked for a pat in the back? You got it!
