paunch23 Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 hi. during my earlier days i was dumb enough to change my guitars pickups for some seymour duncans. Now I want to get back to gibson's. I do not know what to get. The original ones, or upgrade them to the burstbuckers pros or 57´s classics or something. Any recommendations? My guitar is a les paul standard plus from 1997 or 98 I believe. I realize this is a personal matter of what you like, but also thought maybe gibson customs or more expensive les pauls have different pickups for a reason. that being that they are better, is that so? anyone thinks i should just stay with the seymours (alnico pro 2) thanks for any insight or help you can give me.
