I ordered one of these today. It will be my second Gibson so far this year/month. Hope it will be a little bit better than the Standard in cream and sunburst http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/SG/Gibson-USA/SG-Standard-Limited.aspx Any one who have played one of these SG STD 60`s ? I have never even seen one before. Its gonna be my "waiting" SG until the one with Dirty Fingers that tune it-self comes to Norway.

SMACK,

I had one, It had some quality issues from the factory. Long story short I returned it and got a 61RI. Much better quality. The body on the 60s tribute seems smaller and lighter. The balance was off and the neck really wanted to dive bad. It also had 24 frets so more weight on the neck. Other than that I did like it. Burstbucker pickups are nice, but a thought they were a little muddy. Like the 57's on the 61 RI much better. Hope this helps. NOw that I read your description not sure its the same guitar.

Looks like the pre 2013 SG standard with a backed maple fret board. I am sure it is very similiar to the orevious SG standard with the pick up configuration. I have the 2006 model and the only difference is mine has the rosewood fret board. I really like mine and I am sure you will enjoy yours also. I was wondering what they were going to do with the large guard model SG standard and I guess here is my answer. Your going to like it very much. Enjoy, Tim
