Headphone suggestions?

I use Sennheiser HD280 Pro's. Great 'phones, nice flat frequency response with none of that boomy bass that a lot of manufacturers use to make them sound "big". Highs are nice and smooth. 32dB of ambient noise attenuation, output of 102dB (Neodymium drivers). Nice thick durable coiled cable. 2 year warranty. Couldn't be happier with them. I think they run about $120 or so, depending on where you buy.

Good luck,

I quite like the bowers and wilkins P3 (£160) , Motorhead Bomber (£80) and Sennheiser HD219 (£30). I never know what mid priced is these days because companies keep bringing out more and more expensive products so Ive listed a few from different price ranges

Vox AMPhones are basically high quality Audio-Technica headphones with the workings of one of the several models of the Vox Amplug built in.They come in AC-30,Lead,Bass,Twin and a couple more that I can't quite remember at the moment. My Missus gave me a pair of Koss UR-15-C phones for Christmas and they are surprisingly good for mid-priced phones.

I have the Vox AMPhones Lead for my son and I, and they are great for practicing, no amp needed.

You can also plug them into an amp that has a headphone in jack on it.

They sound pretty good.

So I guess these phones need batteries or do they have a rechargeable system?

Just read the spec sheet for the AC 30 phones... Yes they do run on 2 AAA batteries that are good for 7 to 16 hours depending on the type of battery you use... Wish they could have made these witha a rechargeable system. Hang them up on their stand and the recharge over night would be nice... Hate buying batteries, They can run on a transformed but who wants to deal with another chord hanging off the phones...

I got a pair of Audio Technica ATH-m50s's for Christmas, and I love them. I did a bunch of research on headphones before I bought them, and these are the best in the price range it seems. They had them in stock at my local GC, and they looked up the cheapest online price for me and matched it. Came to like $116 with tax.
