Jayla Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Just read this nice little tribute to Orbison on the Gibson "lifestyle" website, on the 20th anniversary of his death. In addition to the thoughtful write-up, there are a couple of pics of him with a red 335, which I had never seen before (he's usually holding a Gretsch in the pix I know). Anyway, it made me think of his many fine songs. One of my faves in "In Dreams."
onewilyfool Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Great singer......I play "blue bayou"...one of my favs
brundaddy Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 That David Lynch flick, "Blue Velvet," did a few interesting send-ups of Orbison's tunes. One was "In Dreams" & the other was "Candy Colored Clown." I always loved the eerie dimension of his sound, and this movie explored his songs as almost a muse for the dark side.
