LarryUK
I've seen loads of videos on YouTube from NAMM 13, but nothing from Gibson. Were they not there?
btoth76
Hello! They were there. Actually they showed up with some nice guitars. ES-195 is a beauty, just like the gold ES-335... http://www.themusiczoo.com/blog/?s=namm+2013 Cheers... Bence

LPguitarman
They were there in hoards. I got daily Facebook notices and pictures of the many guitars they were showing off.
Ryan H
One guy even commented "I'm here at the Gibson booth- or should I say the Gibson Room..." They had a large presence there. There were just lots of other cool things too. -Ryan
FirstMeasure
Yeah, they were there. But their booth (or should I say room) wasn't all that impressive. They had no Schwag to give away and they had their demo guitars hooked up to Mini Vox Headphone Amps. They sounded absolutely horrible. Carvin, IMO, stole the show. Riffster
How much does it cost to get in at NAMM for the general public? if you even can.
Blueblooded
Gibson people were at NAMM?... Really? I thought Axe said Henry pulled out at the last minute so all the employees at Gibson could help install MinE-Tune systems on all the guitars sitting at the factory
Ryan H
How much does it cost to get in at NAMM for the general public? if you even can. I'm pretty sure you need some kind of industry connection to get in. Industry people are given an allotment of "badges" which they can distribute to family, friends e.c.t. I was given the chance to go to this Winter NAMM, but college prevented me from going. There's always next year, or Summer NAMM if college lines up. I'm pretty sure the bigger Authorized Dealers of certain brands get in, as well as press (magazines, big online reviewers and such). -Ryan
Mark
I always get a badge but it just never works out. I am always too busy with work or not busy enough. NAMM in Nashville is a good possibility this year, my daughter is looking at Vanderbilt and will try to combine the trip.
rocketman
Carvin, IMO, stole the show. So what did Carvin do?
FirstMeasure
How much does it cost to get in at NAMM for the general public? if you even can. It's not what you know....as they say So what did Carvin do? They had all their guitars hanging next to all their newest amps, all warmed up and ready to jamm with cables all over the place so trying out the new Vai amp was super easy. Most other big amp and guitar companies only had limited access to trying out new products. Fender was very accommodating, too. Gibson did have demo guitars out, but the mini vox amps didn't really do any of the guitars justice. Lots of great exhibits, I just found Carvin to be the most accommodating.
