rct
When I worked at PNSY it was both places, whichever we felt like that night. I was barely 20, so I could put them away. Nicks at 20th and Jackson for roast beefs was an option as well, Nicks and Mich(elob)s. Couple prollems with "cheesesteak wars" that are overseen by people not from around here. "wit or witout" is ridiculous. They only come one way, and if you don't know, you shouldn't ask. cheez whiz is an abomination, I just don't know how that started. rct

rct
"wit or witout" is ridiculous. They only come one way Then why is that the first thing they ask you? B) I know right? I'll tell you why. Sometime after the mid 80's, I had left in November of 84 and came back late in 88. Sometime in there somep ussy came in and whined that he didn't want those onyins on it. friggin puss. THAT is how it started. They say the cheez spooge started in the 60's. I just don't remember that, it was Provlone or Merkin, depending on how you were feeling that day and what beer you were having. I think the filthy foul canned crap started much later, prolly when the wit or witout bull started. I wish I could eat a cheesesteak these days, I haven't been to either in a long time now. We did have our share back then, it was a good time! Pulsations! Only if yer from around here. rct
rocketman
Pat's for me. Nothing like eating one of them outdoors in the cold of winter with a good beer.
