Gibson Robert Johnson

Hey folks,

 

I have an opportunity to get a Gibson L-1 Robert Johnson for $875 USD. Unfortunately it's from a private listing and is not close to where I live so I would be buying it just seeing it from photos. Do any of you have this model? Is that a fair price? There aren't many on eBay so it's hard to get a good idea of what they go for. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I am no fan of Robert Johnson, or the blues, but that guitar was knock out!

Just fantastic. - $875 seems a good price, trusting all is well with it,

and you can verify the seller as bona Fide.

I have one and it's a great guitar. That price almost seems a little too good. Mine's a 2007 model and I believe the MSRP at that time was $3171.

I agree. This price seems too low. I would be leary.

It's through eBay. I contacted the seller because his buy it now price is $1,200 and he gave me the price of $875. Thanks for the replies. I'm waiting to see some more photos before making the decision.
