AlanH
I voted Gibson LP Studio because:- -Best value Gibson LP by far as not paying disproportionately excessive amounts for unnecessary binding and fancier maple tops but offers the same quality as any other Gibson USA production -I prefer the feel of guitars without plastic neck binding

Gary Moore Tribute
The Bonamassa Studio for the money it just can't be beat if you can find one... My 2nd choice would be a Traditional (Swap the control knobs out tho)
RRIDER
LP Classic Custom. A real high quality axe from Gibson USA. IMHO these were the best bang for the buck.
JM2112
The two Gibson's listed in my signature are tops for me. Would they be tops for you? Who knows, it's all subjective to the individual. Play as many different models as you can and find what's tops for you. The one thing I might do differently if I were buying an SG today is the SG Standard Limited. They have the torrefied maple fret board which, IMHO, is one awesome fret board to play on.
tazzboy
Used Les Paul Standard cause that is the guitar I can afford and what I also liked.
scottishrogue
I own 2 Gibson guitars, which I purchased for specific reasons. First, my Les Paul Deluxe was purchased because it had been "customized" by Seymour Duncan, personally (according to the previous owner). He had switched out the mini-Humbuckers and replaced them with a P-90 at the bridge and an Alnico V at the neck. It sounds absolutely fab when plugged into my Marshall MG-15 DFX amp, which (I think) is probably too small. But, there were other reasons, as well. The color is "wine red" and the body is a one-piece mahogany slab (quite rare) and the result is a very dark burgundy color, with the white narrow binding. I have yet to see an LP I like better, as the grain is unbelievable. The beige trim was replaced with black and the gold speed knobs were replaced with "witchhat" black ones. One more thing...I have all the original parts that were replaced, so I can switch back if I choose or sell the extra parts, if I wish. My other Gibson is an ES-347 TD. It's a 1981 model and everything is original. Tobacco Sunburst trimmed out with gold hardware along with the brass nut is very appealing. I've been thinking about switching the black speed knobs with the gold speed knobs from my LP, but I might pick up a set of gold witchhats, if they're offered at a reasonable price. charlie brown
Love ALL my guitars, Gibson's or otherwise. So, "which one," is impossible, for me. Right NOW, I'm into my SG's! Why?...Light, awesome upper fret access, 57 Classic's for that Superb SG tone. And, their overall "devilish" good looks! CB
