LarryUK
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-21063882 I find this fascinating. Isn't technology wonderful? There's a programme about it on UK tv tonight. Channel 4 at 9pm.

pippy
Yes. Great stuff. It so happens that my 8-y-o daughter is studying the Tudors at school just now and Richard III was the last monarch in the Plantagenet line before the Tudors took over the reigns. Consequently, we've been doing some background reading on the 'Wars of the Roses' so this discovery has been timed very well indeed. Thanks for the heads-up on the prog tonight, lashurst! P. bonzoboy
I saw the story on the news this evening-that's an incredible find-DNA is certainly becoming a massively important investigative tool not only in criminal cases but in archeology and many other branches of science. We are probably just beginning to see the tip of the iceberg where it comes to the possible uses of DNA. Guest Farnsbarns
I am supposed to be a decedent of him. I wonder if I can claim his remains? You and approximately 1200000 other people. Everyone of European decent is theoretically descended from Charlemagne because each generation is exponentialy larger than the last.
pippy
I am supposed to be a decedent of him. I wonder if I can claim his remains? Why not try for the English Throne instead? Hey, it's worth a shot! I'll back you up (for a share of the booty.....lol!) P.

pippy
OK, I know there are no guitars featured anywhere whatsoever in the prog but, if anyone is even remotely interested, here is the whole, fascinating account; http://www.channel4....he-car-park/4od P.
