onewilyfool
OK.....please watch this clip of John Lennon......it flips between him "raw" and him electronically enhanced. NOW I realized, that all this time I've only been missing the electronic enhancement of my voice to make me an equal of John Lennon.....I have new faith, new vigor, new hope for my singing career........ahhhhhhhh......knowledge is power....lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGmOwAHAIJ0

rar
OK.....please watch this clip of John Lennon......it flips between him "raw" and him electronically enhanced. Thanks for the URL! I'm tempted to start a poll: better "raw" or better "enhanced". My vote would be for "raw". (But I guess I'm not tempted enough to actually do it.) -- Bob R
Rambler
Good thread, but if anyone is are having issues with vocalling, Id say sit up (standup) and get some air moving. Tweakind a knob can't fix what's missing from the git. And invest something in the sentiment of the lyric. As for the Lennon-ster, those solo vocals sound cold, remote, and heartless to this ear. Give me an early Fab track, like Really got a Hold On Me or This boy, when he was doing his damnedest to channel Smokey Robinson. Get that ache in the voice and you are on the way! Michael
They are just using Echo in the booth. Most of us use some sort of effects weather it is Reverb, Echo, etc.. unless you are a rock purist who usually will not use any effects at all.
