Does it have a one piece solid mahogany body or is it made more along the lines of a regular Standard (mahogany cap on mahogany body)?

Gorgeous guitar in any event.

Keep us posted on how she sounds, please.

Thanks for the post.

Beautiful, congrats! Love the (now discontinued) Classic Antiques.

Tim - Gibson used the Classic Antique at least five times during the 2007 Guitar of the Week program (Fireburst, Tom Morgan, zebra wood, ice tea with H-90s, and the one in this post, the faded cherry mahogany top):

They also created the "Antique Deluxe" goldtop, which was basically a Classic Antique with minihumbuckers. Neo had one, I believe.

Begon al te denken dat ik de enige Nederlander hier was :-s

Bought it a the Sound Plaza (www.sound-plaza.com). Never been to Max Guitar store, been looking at the Big One in Zwolle, Sound Shop in Amstelveen and the Sound Plaza. Small guitarshop but great and friendly service.

I've been to the Sound Shop too (i live in Amstelveen :-s ) but they only had 2 LP's , 1 studio and 1 used Standard.

If you have the chance, visit Max in the Hague (http://www.maxguitarstore.com) , they claim to have the biggest collection of Gibson Customs in Europe, they have a lot of Gibbies in stock.

That's cool, I live in Amstelveen as well. Never cared much for the Sound Shop though... not my kind of store I guess. But back on topic, it's a lovely Gibson and sounds great!
