classic custom, are they gone for good?

Seems like they are becoming less and less available through the web stores and Ebay. Is it true that only 500 of each color were made? Has there been no production of them since 2011/2012? Is there a plan to make more? I am curious?

I did some searches and the production numbers for the CC seem to be pretty low. Maury's Music, Musician 's Friend both quote a limited production of 400 Classic Customs in each color. That would only be 2,000 guitars which seems extremely low to me.

I own the Red Wine model.

A Classic Custom run of 400 were made back in 2007, see link for a pic of the guitar:

The most recent run of Classic Customs which just ended were made in larger quantities I believe, but I may be wrong about the this. They were in production from about Oct. 2011 until about the end of 2012.

Very glad I got one, they are excellent guitars. [thumbup]

For what it's worth.

When I bought mine the dealer I bought from told me there were 500 of each color. They were adamant about it when I questioned it.

The sales person turned his monitor around to show me how he knew.

I was skeptical. But that's what I was told.

I don't really care anyway. I got mine and plan on keeping it till I croak.
