charlie brown
I've noticed, that a lot of our "fairer sex," players use SG's! So, how about some photos, of some of your favorite female SG players? One of my favorite female Rocker's...though known as primarily a Telecaster slinger, Chrissie's been known to use a white SG Junior, now and then...especially in the early days, of "The Pretenders!" CB Mods...It's ok, to move this to the SG forum, if preferred.

charlie brown
you can get lost in here http://www.everythingsg.com/forum/gibson-sg/1658-pictures-girls-sgs.html Well, I guess that link, pretty much "killed" this thread?! LOL I was hoping, you all would post your own (pesonal) "favorite" female SG players. But, after the other SG thread, maybe some a just "Fed up," with SG's?! LOL It's ok... milod
CB... All kidding aside, all the female pickers I know who play "out," play acoustic or AE. That's quite a few girls ranging from teen to ... almost as old as I am. A couple play electric bass, a couple play keyboards. Not one plays "electric" guitar, at least not where I've seen 'em. m

But, of those who do, about 1/2 play "electric," and "acoustic," and the other's play acoustic, only. So, it probably denpends on where you're located, as to the percentage. There are a LOT of male players, going "acoustic" these days, as well. Anyway...no big deal. Just thought it would be fun/entertaining, to see some of our forum member SG lovers, who might have a favorite female SG player, to share a photo, or video of. Izzy
Sister Rosetta Tharpe Wow...talk about a rockin' lady. That SG had me drooling. Not the most talented girls in the bizz, but they sure loved Gibsons. Veruca Salt.
CoreyT
Wow...talk about a rockin' lady. That SG had me drooling. It looked to me like it might be a '61 Custom since it had three pickups? I believe the video was from '64 also. Yeah, she had a great voice, and knew how to play that SG. Strange how the end of her strap was up near the nut, and not on the back like most have. Maybe it balanced better for her that way?
charlie brown
Lita Ford, in the early days of "The Runaways," used an early '70's SG. Note the square fret markers. CB
Turnip
+1 to Izzy's post...I was gonna say Veruca Salt, but she beat me to it. I saw them a few times live and both girls were playing SGs: Nina played an SG Junior, and Louise played a cherry SG Standard. Boy did I have a crush on them back in the day... :)
charlie brown
Didn't at least one of the "Go Go's" (Jane Wiedlin), use a (blue?) SG Junior or Special??? I seem to remember that...but, knowing MY memory...I could be mistaken? I'll have to look it up, and post an image if I find one. Yep...she's used several SG's... Cool!! Yeah, Izzy...She used an Explorer (several, actually), a lot in the later days of "The Runaways," and many other guitars, in her later career.
