Yeah' date=' I'm not thrilled with that color, but then again..... I recall when I first started at Gibson in the early 90's and I suggested we bring back the Silverburst, and was laughed out of the room. :)

To each his own. [/quote']

Sounds intriguing... got any pics?

I had a silverburst LP Custom, an '82. It was 10 years old when I got it and it was GREENburst by then. Finishes do weird things in time. I briefly owned a '73 Musicmaster Bass that was supposed to be sonic blue but it was definitely green in '84.

I want that pink Gibson, I just don't know where the money will come from.

Yeah, that was what they called it when I brought it up, the Greenburst. The metal in the paint has turned over time, creating that funky coloring. Not sure why causes that, like, if its out of the case a lot, or what. I've seen a few 80's Silverburst that did not turn, at vintage guitar shows, and they want a LOT for them. I recall seeing that what it first came out when I was like 13 or so, and thinking "that is the PERFECT rock and roll guitar."
