EthanBrackett
Gibson, to my memory introduced 3 guitars into the "Faded" series. The V, LP, and SG. Did they ever put an explorer in the mix that i cant remember, since they tent to keep the explorer and V in the same field.
bigtim
Yes they did. It has a black guard as well. No pick up covers. They look pretty good too. Tim

Riffster
The faded Explorers came with a gigbag, of all Gibsons the Explorer is the least gigbag friendly.
buliwyf
If you zoom in on the picture of the back of the headstock the serial number looks like 00308 and it does say Made in the USA.If you get a small mag glass and use the + sign on the picture you can read it.my 54 year eyes arent quite what they used to be. EthanBrackett
he brown'd the rest of the number out! >.> its kinda hard to see but if you look at the grain of the wood, you can see where the big brown color matched rectangle is!
krock
Cant you just message him? Thats what I ended up doing with my 57 precision reissue because I wanted to check it was genuine
Riffster
Why do you need the serial number? Nobody is faking faded Explorers, trust me Gibson themselves have a hard time selling Explorers and seem to only make them in batches.
LT ED
Why would anybody think that wasn,t a genuine explorer, a very quick search would have answered that one in seconds. Im pretty sure that they come with a Gibson hardcase. The vee comes with a gig bag.
jojo68
The faded Explorers came with a gigbag, of all Gibsons the Explorer is the least gigbag friendly. The one I bought was $500 new from guitar center and did have a case. Wish I'd never have gotten rid of that guitar !
