tjbumbico
As the title would suggest, is it possible to register a used Gibson product? I just purchased a used Gibson Les Paul Special P90 Humbucker Tobacco Burst, and I would like to register it if at all possible. I searched the forum a little and didn't see anything in regards to this issue. I did fill out the warranty information on the main site, but I do not have an original receipt or bill of sale. So, is it possible?
BigKahune
. Welcome. AFAIK not with Gibson. The registration is for warranty purposes and only the original purchaser is warranted. >> THIS WARRANTY IS EXTENDED TO THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASER ONLY AND MAY NOT BE TRANSFERRED OR ASSIGNED TO SUBSEQUENT OWNERS. IN ORDER TO VALIDATE YOUR WARRANTY, AND AS A CONDITION PRECEDENT TO WARRANTY COVERAGE HEREUNDER, YOU MUST RETURN YOUR WARRANTY REGISTRATION CARD WITHIN FIFTEEN (15) DAYS FOLLOWING THE ORIGINAL DATE OF PURCHASE. YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE OR SALES RECEIPT MUST ACCOMPANY ALL REQUESTS FOR WARRANTY COVERAGE. .

The guy bought the guitar in January and sold it to me in February would be nice if I could get a warranty as well.
Bender 4 Life
Ok so warranty is not transferrable then. btoth76
If You want to register it, - for sake of the record of the ownership -, sign up to GuitarVaults. That's where my instruments are registered too. Cheers... Bence
