btoth76
I thought I should share this old classic from Mos Eisley with You. Haven't heard it for long, and always brings smile on my face: Cheers... ShoalsRanger
Oh, I thought this was going to be a Pink Floyd thread. And thanks, now that song is going to be stuck in my head all day long. LOL.
btoth76
Hello! My intention with this post was to start a discussion about dissonant sounding musical pieces. I am very interested about the theory behind them. What makes them sound out-of-key, still pleasant to listen to? Any opinions, fellow members? Cheers... pippy
With the exception of the Carribean Steel Drum it sounds pretty much like it could have come straight out of the Roaring '20s. A period which I like very much, music-wise, as it happens... P.
btoth76
Hello Pippy! Right, but the melody still seems weird. What key it might be? What scale it is based on? Do You happen to have any ideas? Another example from Maurice Jarre (mainly the sax line is interesting here): Cheers... Bence
