I don't respect him as a person...he's friggin weird...but that dude can play guitar!

He won't be playing mine!

Seriously. The next person to get their hands on one of his guitars needs to smash it, right there and then.

But you don't know him as a person

And yeah, I'd say there is no way this wasn't contrived and agreed to by all parties involved. Probably was a re-issue worth about $500.

I can't say I ever respected him. I appreciate how great a player he is. But I have always thought of him as an arrogant d-ick head.

I have seen him drop guitars before. If that was my guitar I would drop one on his head.

He changed his name to a symbol... what's that tell ya..

This doesn't surprise me.

He has a house in Toronto and goes door to door to save people's souls.

I'll bet he won't go to Kirk Douglas' house. Otherwise it will be his own soul that'll be in need of saving...

This was in the Epi Lounge I think yesterday..

But I'll say it again here,,

A fella I have use for,

and you'd have pound him into a fine powder if he did that to any of your guitars right???

None of my guitars cost over $800....so no. I'm not a violent person....i'd just get him to buy me a new one. :) I'd still think he was a Richard though.

No. It is a 1961 Crestwood with a humbucker at the bridge - obvioulsy a modification that, unfortunatley, devalues the guitar because of the routing neccessary to accomodate the bigger pickup. After the pickup mod and the headstock break, the guitar just might be worth little more than $500 though. Most unfortunate.

...or a bit more! Don't forget it got smashed by the Prince, Himself!

Bence has a point!

How much did Hendrix's smashed Strat go for at auction?

:-k

Perhaps it was OK'd with Mr. Douglas before the performance!

Result!!!
