Sully Strap Review *****

A big thanky to Jayla for redirecting me to Sully's strap site, where I found the perfect strap for my SJ200 MC. Sully's service was five-star, the strap got here in 2 days and it was better than I expected. Very high quality, the leather is from Schultz Bros. horse tack (rein straps) and is truly vintage, rustic and well made. A few slight adjustments pulling the spare leather thru the slots and it fits like a glove - perfect. The nice leather tabs fit snugly and securely over the installed strap button on the neck and the end jackpin. The shoulder pad is suede lined and very comfy. Overall I am more than satisfied with it. Very pleasant transaction, and Sully is the consumate professional. I will definitely buy from him again.

This place is just a wealth of good information. Thanks again, y'all. Man I just love this internet!

Wife wasn't thrilled with the price. So, I reminded her just how much we spend each week on alfalfa:)

Hey DDD - the leather is nice and supple, very pliable, naturally aged harness rein that feels like an old, familiar baseball glove. Lots of character.

GibbyJoe - yeah, it's a perfect match, huh? I couldn't be more satisfied with it. Somebody else emailed me and said the first pic I posted (the muted one that was dim lit) should be in a magazine hah. Maybe I'll make a promo poster:)

Honky Dog - call him up! I'm sure Sully would be happy to do the same strap again.

...anxiously awaiting the Waverly engraved tuners

I probably own 20+ straps from Sully. I've not used anything else since finding them. The only word of caution (as Sully also states on his website), don't leave the strap attached when you're not using it. It's possible for some transfer to occur, depending on the leather that he used. Although he doesn't use anything that will harm your guitar, he can't control and many times doesn't know what the prior owner of the leather used for his vintage straps used on it.

Thanks for the review' date=' JLW. It's nice to know when you can count on the service of someone like Sully. Helps him and us.

I just might have bought that one if you hadn't beat me to it. But, I'm sure he'll be posting more from time to time.[/quote']

Sully just posted some new vintage ones on his website.
