The New Jimmy Page Les Paul

Well. I picked up My new Jimmy Page Les Paul a couple of hours ago, let it acclimate to the warm air in the house after just leaving the case cracked open for about an hour, gave it a thorough look over, tuned it, then plugged into my Mesa Boogie 5/50 Express and played for an hour.

NOTE: I had actually bought this guitar as an investment rather than putting money into my IRA this year. I was expecting that it would be a case queen. That's not going to happen.

Screw the investment!!!! This axe is so much fun to play I'm going to take it out of the very nice case at least once a day. It may never leave the house but that's OK.

The variety of different sounds you can get vis-a-vis the pickup switching is rather amazing. It can sound like a Strat if you want. I didn't think I was going to like the Bixby but I do. The set up from the Custom shop is great - the action is very low with no buzz. The yellowed binding actually looks golden - and is a little hard to get use to (that's my only complaint so far). There is plenty of case candy with this guitar.

I own 2 other Les Pauls, a Standard and a Custom Shop both of which I bought used. They are great but this Jimmy Page Signature is unique - it should be for $6K.

If I can figure out how to add a picture to this post I will.

Axl - I can't add any photos to this forum without having a hosting service, unfortunately. With other forums it's so easy.

If Gibson adds this feature I will post some. I could use a hosting service but if I have to remember one more user name and password my head will implode.

Thanks for asking.
